GRUNGE 90s & NEOGRUNGE 2011
The two photos you see below were taken in the early eighties in Seattle, by photographer Michael Lavine. This artist mingled with local young punk, documenting the beginnings of what will be christened years after the grunge movement, ie, a mix of influences, punk, hardcore, garage, metal .... different realities united by a sense of rebellion and impatience with the social models and musical era. Lavine became the official photographer of the new movement, capturing the band in real and their portraits in black and white are also used in the music industry as record covers and posters. Those who were young then and common future star, style icons are now copied by designers and stylists, because music is always a big cultural phenomenon that influences fashion and trends.
